A Five-Step Stakeholder Communication Plan for More Effective Natural Resource Management

Effectively communicating with diverse groups involved in environmental management is critical to facilitating successful projects. This five-step communication plan designed enable resource managers and extension professionals successfully engage their stakeholders. plan, which uses oyster reef as an example, was informed by two primary sources: expert meeting stakeholder leaders coastal res- idents a review of relevant literature. By incorporating input throughout the planning imple- mentation natural projects, new innovative ideas emerge, relationships between stakeholders, managers, agents are strengthened.
